AI Detector uses the best AI available in the market to determine if a text has been written by a Language Model AI or not.
The latest study used 1200 samples of text: 600 AI generated (100 each ChatGPT, GPT2/3/4/J, Paraphrase) and 600 human-generated. AI Detector is represented on the first column:

What does this mean?
The AI Model used to detect whether a text has been created by an AI or not has been tested in order to know its accuracy. Those numbers represent the Average (mean), the minimum (min), and the maximum (max) scores it has achieved while testing its accuracy, and the numbers are represented in a percentage (the higher the better). While this graph contains tests for GPT-3, GPT-3.5, ChatGPT and GPT-4 (different Language Models developed by OpenAI), AI Detector is also be able to detect texts from other Language Models.
